在秦始皇陵西側，內城門外之南，探查出埋葬珍禽異獸的瓦棺葬坑十七處，棺內有禽獸骨骼，成南北一字形排列。

陵の西北内外城壁間に深く埋葬された珍しい獣及び鳥類の瓦棺坑が十七箇所（発掘）、南北に並べられる。棺内でそれらの骨をも発見した。
The Pits for Rare Birds and Animals
In the south side to the west gate of the inner city, seventeen burial pits arranged in a row from south to north have been detected, in which still exist pottery coffins with rare birds and animals' skeletons in them.
